This is the result of One Week Portrait which was a creative challenge hosted by Paintable across Facebook and Youtube a few weeks ago.

Over the course of 5 days participants were taught in stages how to recreate a photo reference of their choice and then add a bit of personal style to it.

This is extremely out of the normal kind of thing I create but I am very proud of the result. I didn't go particularly mad with the styling part because I was being a little too precious over the work I had already done up to that point.

The biggest challenge I found was the hair. (Especially given that I couldn't use the recommended brushes because they kept crashing Photoshop every time they were loaded in.)

It has to be the most realistic face I have ever rendered.
