Description
Another case of the odd things that Sims sometimes do in The Sims 2.This actually happened when I sent and elder couple on a date. They chose a seat to eat at and then the wife immediately got up to go and wash the restaurant windows!
I've had this picture on my computer for a while but just never got around to finishing it until now.
Part coloured with felt-tips, part coloured digitally.

Very funny, since I know what this is referring to. Β Sims 2 characters had all kinds of weird, default actions that they would do in the middle of other actions.
This also made me laugh for another reason. Β It reminded me of the "dorm party with a window" sketch from the "Devil Doll" episode of MST3K.

Can't say I've come across that episode or sketch before.

The bots have a "Friday dorm party" planned, in which they intend to "throw open the window, put the speakers in the window and party." Β However, Servo then reveals that they only had enough money in the party budget for the window itself, so they don't have any speakers or beer, and the rest of the sketch is just the other guys reacting to this.
"How are we supposed to party when all we have is a window?"
Funny stuff.

my sim did this, then Mrs. Crumplebottom came and slapped her. After my sim sat back down, Mrs C started cleaning the window. THE WINDOW IS SOOOO DIRTY!

Quite rare and mostly with Sims who are high on the Neat scale. I played The Sims 2 from release up until The Sims 3 came out and I only ever saw it twice.

Man, the Sims is weird, weird, weird.
I had two sims who were roommates. So when I'm playing with some other sims, one of the roommates would come over constantly. They liked to steal my car (At one point he jumped in the car and drove off, returning later with a newly installed car alarm), washing my uneaten food down the drain, and even going as far as to steal my baby! (He walked off the lot with my baby and never came back! I think the baby was lost in the negative space or something.)
Nice picture.

That's totally weird, not just because of the obivous reason, but also because the windows are suually an un-interactable objct that doesn't require cleaning. Ever. o_O

Activate debug mode and if you shift-click on any window they have the option to clean them.
Sinks gain the option to take a sponge bath!

Certainly. The world would decend into chaos. Broken up only by bathroom breaks.

June the 4th/5th. Much more realistic looking but goodness knows if they've actually improved the AI. They say they have but then why would they say otherwise? Should have been out last week but they delayed it to market it better.

But but where did see get the stuff to clean it with? Did she ask, bring it with her or was it hammer-space O.o
Their house must be squeaky clean ^^

Alistu In reply to Dawnie-chan [2009-01-18 13:10:55 +0000 UTC]
Hammer-space. Some of the things they pull from there, honestly. Sims' hammer-space is always placed over their bums so it looks especially odd when they decide to go fishing and need a fishing rod...
Its also where they pull presents from to give to other Sims.
