Ok, so its now 2am and I'm here uploading this when I should be asleep. I feel like I've been in a bit of a creative slump just recently but ended up looking through my picture folder before coming off the computer and I ended up getting inspired to colour this piece.I must have been at it for at least three hours now but its taken me longer than that in total because I'd already started work on it prior to tonight.
I was trying something different with shading. I've been wanting to try and get a smoother look to it and I think I succeeded in this picture.
The hair could probably be a lot better but I wasn't practicing hair. That will have to be another project for another time.
I'm also aware that the anatomy of this young male is a bit iffy.
So please, leave me some comments on what you think about the shading. Comments are switched to Advanced Critique for this piece.

Not bad looking! I think his feet are the only issue I see. A bit too large given his current size. And NO I'm not trying to make an inference about foot size and anything else NOT pictured, hehe.

ok, enough of the silliness, i do think the shading works well on the body, the face seems a bit flat though. either that, or it's my screen resolution.
the shadow on the floor is good as it helps stop it from looking like he's floating ^^ which is something i'd probably forget

His face is slightly flatter than I originally coloured it. After applying a blur filter to help blend the colours it softened his face a little too much. I used seven different shades for his skin.
On the original drawing the shadow has a pen outline but I removed it because it made it look too artificial.
