This fanart is actually based on "The Phantom Detective" AU, a crossover AU of Detective Conan and Danny Phantom, made by @phantoms-lair in Tumblr.

It's actually a crossover concept with Detective Conan/Case Closed and Danny Phantom, created by Billie Jukes, now known as Eternal_Phantom (Ao3)/phantoms-lair (Tumblr) .

The fanfiction author actually made the series in 2006, but they made a rewrite of the fic in 2021.

This amazing fic tells about the new halfa who was accidentally turned into one by an unsuspecting side effect of the Apotoxin-4869. His logic has been broken again by the existence of ghosts and the supernatural, as if his logic was broken by him shrinking into a kid. 😂

I had remembered that AU series (along with The Impossible Murder series) I had read few years ago, even drawn two fanarts related to the AU, and now I saw that it was revised by the author recently with a new concept on Conan's misadventures as a half-ghost due to showing of proof that ghosts exist goes wrong.

(Especially the clothes he wore was now revised, now he looks like an inverse version of what he wore in Tropical Land compared to the old version of the fic. It's still bad as it looks with terrible color palette, but at least it's not as glaring and eye-catchy than one orange Teitan high school uniform he had worn that looks like Jack Fenton's jumpsuit...in his ghost form.)
