- Not crediting is art theft.
- Tracing is art theft.
- AI pictures are art theft

There's no excuses such as "but you can learn from tracing" or "but big companies trace for their comics/cartoons". Just because somebody is doing it doesn't mean you should do it. There's other methods to learn but it requires more efforts, that's the problem here, people want the praise but not doing the work. That's why AI are so popular, because it's no efforts for a result which look good.

Guess what people ? YOU are the problem if you think you can just go away with it just because "there's no law against it" or anything like that. There's no fucking law about us calling you an art thief so why is it a problem for you?

Short story, before knowing how AI worked, I used Artbreeder for having an idea of how some characters I had in mind could look like, now knowing how AI find their bases pictures... I'm sure I won't try it again now I'm more informed on the subject. Will I deny it was a fun experience ? No. It was nice to see my characters coming to life like that. But it's definitely not art. It's like a dollmaker, nothing more.

There's nothing wrong in using references as long as it remains references only ( and you know, you can credit people too... Won't burn your computer to do it)
