I've been meaning to make a proper guide to Beans for a while and am excited to reveal it to yall!! So as a precursor to the Bean-based event, the Cafe of Crystal Delights coming up Soon (tm), here is a little mini-guide to Beans as a companion to the new Aetherling species guide (which will be coming around the end of the year!)

Beans are baby Aetherlings. Tiny, curious, and driven by a call for purpose and adventure, they are born when one of the twenty-four ancient elemental dragons - the Primals - takes a sliver of their crystal and breathes life into it. This little shard becomes the Heart Crystal of the newborn Aetherling and generates a protective, hazy aura of elemental magic that propels them onward. The Heart Crystal is embedded in the baby bean's chest and disappears into the body when they transform into adults (but a regular body crystal can grow in the same place!)

Beans are about the size of a chicken nugget, similar to the size of regular Mogi, and fit easily in the palm of one's hand. They are blind but have keen senses of direction and smell! They can't quite talk until they reach the Discovery phase of their lives and become fullgrown adults, but in the meantime they can communicate with each other using squeaks and peeps (a lot like these baby ferrets!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=ge1XCd…)
