Here are the promised Homunculus aetherlings! These are an exceedingly rare variety of aetherling with non-commissionable traits. As of yet, they are the only three in existence, and will likely be released only once or twice a year at most. Homunculi are aetherlings bearing traits deemed "Cursed", often man-made in origin and shunned by others of their kind.

These little guys have more in-depth stories than usual, explaining their (depressing) origins. The stories themselves are not tied to the design, of course, and can be freely changed by the owner if they so please! However if they are going to be used for group prompts, I'd ask that the owners pass any new stories by me first so that the homunculus isn't breaking too many rules.

The ABs on these children are higher than usual because of their excessive rarity.

-Small design tweaks are OK, but must still be recognizable. Stuff that's changeable: small color tweaks, flavor text, gender, personality, and accessories. Please contact me for approval of any visual design changes. Essences, elemental affinities, and major physical traits may NOT be changed.
-Dominions listed, as well as flair text, is all optional and just a rough description of the design. They can be changed freely!

Homunculus: Chimerical Construct

Traits: Homunculus. Two essences (UNIQUE). Twin tails (cursed). Crystalline limb (rare). Sylph body type (rare).
  Born from the cruelty and selfishness of a human alchemist, this aetherling came into the world at the cost of two living souls. A human scholar sought the recipe to convert lead into gold, and came into the possession of two rare specimens - twin aetherlings, each bearing one of these metals as their essence. He believed that by using their crystals, he could manipulate their aetheric conversion into causing the same effects for metals. When these experiments failed, he became frustrated - the aetherlings would not do as he pleased, because they were incapable of doing so. The human came to a drastic conclusion - to create a new breed of aetherling with two essences, capable of using its magicks to achieve his ends. He forcefully merged the two innocent creatures by placing them both in a flask and charging it with massive amounts of aether.
  The resulting explosion killed the man and set his laboratory ablaze, and birthed a new creature - an aetherling of both lead and gold. The alchemist's surviving assistant, distraught by the cruelty of the experiment, took in the poor creature and raised it as her beloved "cat".

Homunculus: Corrupted Aspect

This aetherling was born from a curious scholar's attempt to create new life from the energies contained within aetherlings' crystals. With little understanding of the natural processes by which aetherlings are made, he falsely assumed that an aetherling was born from all magicks of the world, rather than that of a single essence. He spent years of his life harvesting the discarded crystals of thousands of aetherlings, assembling them all and charging them with enough aether to forcefully create a new being from the flames. The resulting aetherling was an unstable, powerful creature - lacking any single essence, its crystals draw from all essences surrounding it, causing massive amounts of aether to flow through its body at all times. This allows the aetherling to release bursts of powerful magic rivaling that of a Primal, but at the cost of its own health. If it does not regularly use magic, its bodily crystals will slowly spread and grow until the aetherling itself may be consumed completely.

Homunculus: Wayward Soul

Traits: Homunculus. Defect crystals causing dissolution of body (UNIQUE). Large ears (uncommon). Multiple ear lobes (uncommon).
  This aetherling is a natural homunculus, created by an Aether primal and born with accidentally defective crystal growth. As a result, it never materialized properly through the stages of its life, causing part of its body to constantly dissolve and leak away into aether. It must constantly feed upon its essence, that of lost souls, or else its body may fade away altogether. It travels in the remote areas of the world in search of the lost and unfortunate, and upon meeting them, it judges their worth by the purity of their soul. Those who are good of heart receive the gift of its companionship and energies, while those who are not are slowly eaten away...
