Custom MYO design for sinpure ! I had a LOT of fun with this design and with the really cool prompts, so I hope you enjoy how it turned out! <3Β Everything just came in as approved and I couldn't resist posting this cutie. :3c Painting is super therapeutic for me, so this did a lot to help bring back my motivation after a rough week.Lantern dragon custom designs are also still open here, if you might be interested!

kuri this is gdsfjgkndgfj absolutely GORGEOUS?? The colours are bright yet not harsh, and go so well I-- I donut understanddd TvT (been trying to use a bright palette for a recent design but it's so hard to balance between bright and not harsh (any tips haha) so this is really goalss)

hmm well! my word is definitely not a rule or anything, but i find that it helps to use colors that complement each other, especially when you go high-saturation. so for this one i stuck in the red-purple-blue range mostly!
it also help to have some section of the design where the colors are not as intense, to keep the eye from getting "exhausted" or to not have anywhere to focus, so to speak. i guess on this design that would be the underbelly area, it's not as intense of a color so it helps to offset (and accent) the brightness of the colors elsewhere!
having changes in value from dark to light also helps, if all the colors were in the mid-range, it would appear to vibrate because the colors are so intense and close to each other - this can be a neat effect but it can also be offputting to some people because of the eyeburn LOL

Wow, this is absolutely amazing!! I lovethe mixture of blues and pinks and purples youve used, they go so well together!! Their jellyfish lantern and coral like horns are such a lovely touch!! uwu
