Description
Pet Portrait Commission - I scanned it, found problems, and fixed them and framed it completely forgetting to scan it again. I'm too lazy to rescan lol. Feel free to point out the problems, but I don't think I'll put more work into this piece but will try to apply it to my next.Related content

How ever did you get that fluffy texture anyway? I wanna know.

It's with the strokes of the pastel, not too harsh but mean the lines you put down and don't be afraid to overlap

Ahh...I see...I'll have to learn how to do that digitally.
Maybe adjusted the fuzziness, blending and opacity of the brush.

I can pick little things here and there but I'm sure you picked them out already when you fixed it I'm sure your clients were very happy with the results??

Yeah, the client was very happy and loved it. It was in a white frame with a white mat that suited it very well. She told me she would tell her friends about me so I might get further commissioned work, but we'll see.

No background again? WOw. Some people are weird.... looks good though! I owuld add darker areas beneath the legs and fur, and chest... but other than that, it looks good! Good job!

There is a background on this, it is cool gray with hints of light Caput Mortuum. The reference photo was taken on tiled floor and I didn't want that as the background. I thought green for grass but I realized it might overpower the animal and after doing some research on pet portraiture, over 90% had no background or just a plain background as you see here. I have put it in a white frame with a white double mat which actually brings everything together.

Okay... sorry... i meant no offence. The white mat and frame will make it pop. I agree, the tile would be too much as the grass I would think. I think the matting would make it look good. Good job!
