Description Ths is the final version, took about 7 and a half hours. Painted over my scanned pencil sketch using Photoshop CS and my mouse.

Whoa, NICE lighting. I love the orangey highlights on the far side of his face against those really dark shadows - I was just noticing a lighting scheme similar to that the other day in a film and thought, "WHOA, that's COOL." So it's neat to suddenly see something similar in an image on my devwatch, haha. I like the painterly quality of your coloring style, here, and all the texture, shapes, and lines in his face... Actually, come to think of it, you've got a great variety of texture in this all over, from the hair above his ears, his skin, his jacket, and his glove... Neat job! I really like this.
