Ha! I like following your conversation... I was wondering how a no-headed mutant would exist too... but the great thing is I can just create it and let the views ask the questions! You're coming up with some great answers!

The other possibility I can think of is some sort of gruesome thing where it absorbs nutrients- and maybe tissue- through its foot. If it lands on you, you're going to get a nasty scar at the very least.

Maybe it feels the vibrations of the ground and air to sense it's surroundings.
