if'n you don't mind my asking... when you do covers for books how to you know/ choose what to image to create? Does the company/writer tell you what they are looking for or do you get to read the story and decide for yourself?

Thanks for the kind words. It's hard to say exactly how long they took since the periods of time I worked on them is spread over a few months (these are part of a five book series), but if I had to guess I'd say three days to paint each finish... probably a full week of work from start to finish, including conceptualizing and doing all of the preliminary work.
