Description
This was a massive undertaking, and I am so happy to have it done! I had a lot of small design changes for Muralis that made me a lot happier with him. This reference took me about 16 hours, but most importantly its the first one I've been able to finish in what feels like forever. This really gave me the confidence to hopefully fix up some older characters and make more references at some point!Onto Muralis, he's had a few updates! Some of which include this tail has had a major update, its no longer naked and is now plated instead! His neck plates used to have 4 rows of scales and its back down to 3 which makes it look a lot cleaner. His frills no longer have random 'veins' and instead where changed to diamond spots. Although he still appears as the same character there were lots of minor improvements as well. I am much happier with his overall body shape and he is so much fun to draw. Otherwise his lore has been wiped clean as I want to go a new route with him.Β
General Information:
- When Muralis gets cold his scales and frills have an almost mottled transition that resemble condensation as it fades to its new color. It is uncommon for his colors to remain stuck like this but the transition usually takes hours to fully change his colors.
- Any vents on his body come from underneath his scales, but due to the constant heat emitting from them it has turned that portion of those scales washed, creating the yellow bands.
- The underside of his tail is the same as the underside of his wings; being black with red spotting and subtle red mist. The centerpoint found on his wings do not exist on the underside of his tail.
- His vents cannot have a "mottled" color, they are the only immediate transitions when he cools down or warms up.
- His breath does not work when he is too cold.
- He gains a dulap when breathing fire, it can glow as well as the centerline of his neck down to his chest from the heat it produces.
- When in overdrive his body is overheated to the point of flames pouring out of his vents and almost sticking to his body. After his body exits overdrive mode he almost always gets too cold.
