Those would produce some nice patterned surfaces used as a height/bump maps in 3d materials for modeling too! Similar to one of my first normal mapped avatars: fav.me/d5jf0wu

Thanks! The image actually originated from a snapshot of a model I made, and I simply used it as a height & normal map for the sphere texture in crazybump!
