The more technology advances the more it becomes one with us; our information, tastes and interests are the currency with which the internet sustains itself as an ever-growing business. As such, “security” has become such an illusion that we are willing to pay for it, just something that tells us “You are safe!” or “Your privacy is secured”. In reality, our security and privacy online are often jeopardized not by an insidious hacker wearing a balaclava, but rather our own lack of common sense.

            We’ve all answered at least one of those silly quizzes, maybe to know which Marvel hero you are… Or what bread, and happily shared to your friends that you are sourdough bread. Even a small interaction like this puts our information on the bid, and the more we do it, the more is known about us.

            Hector was trying to get some work down, as much as someone would sitting on the cold, worn out steps of some staircase. The devil of procrastination doesn’t demand much for his summoning, and for Hector it was more of imploration. Scrolling through his social networks, dropping a like, sharing a meme and suddenly…

“What your dream girl makes you”

He didn’t hesitate, he didn’t even try to justify the odd title, and quite possibly didn’t even care about the subject of the quiz, he was just killing time. It was indeed a very low-quality quiz; it was translated from another language by someone with either limited knowledge of the English language or limited care about what they were doing. But it was “understandable” enough for Hector’s mind to get lost in the imaginations of that dreamy girl that his consciousness built with each question.

“Your dream girl is Asian babe at bed”

“At bed?” Hector laughed as the quiz triumphantly announced the results or whatever the creator meant it to do when the user was done with it, however, the quiz was not done with Hector. A small, imperceptible even, static discharge traveled from the laptop into his legs and into Hector’s body. He was still happy, amused even that he had completed the quiz, and his amusement would only grow as his body started to change; his body hair melted away, along with the stockier aspects of his build. Slowly, his body became small, delicate and soft, his sneakers bounced down the staircase as his feet became too small for them.

            Two lumps of flesh suddenly bounced on his chest, proudly displayed by his changing shirt. Everything felt so nice for Hector, he almost didn’t care, or rather, he almost kind of wanted to what else was there to come for him. Long, silky flocks of hair cascaded down his head as his face slowly melted into a womanly visage, but without counting his slowly changing skin, his face soon exhibited features from a genealogy much different…

            With one final giggle, the world around the girl started to liquify, reality started to rearrange to accommodate a body that wasn’t supposed to be there and compensate for the one that was no longer there… “Asian babe at bed” suddenly made much more sense… At least as far as her grasp on English led her to believe.

            It’s not my intention to make you paranoid, dear reader, after all there are hundreds of other seemingly harmless interactions that farm your information with every click; but maybe try not to fall for the same trap, who knows, maybe your dream girl might not have as fun of a life as our friend here.

Helloooooo! This one took me a good while, didn’t it? Aside from my workload suddenly increasing, housekeeping and etc, this animation required a lot of test and correction, skin tone change is very difficult to do, and as you noticed, this one doesn’t actually transition into the final pic, that’s because the girl’s pose was extremely particular (particularly girly anyways) so among all the routes I could’ve gone with this, I really think I chose the one that was the more fun to do.

            We passed the 100 subscribers! I will write a proper post, but I want to thank you all so much! The growth of this account has been amazing, at least for me, so please hang around for more content!
