Description
I was obsessed with acquiring a canvas middle earth map but that being impossible to find, i worked on my calligraphy and made one myself, using the lovely map by Daniel Reeve as reference and made some alterations.

If you must know:
-doodle representation of locations in the films from left to right. little boats and sea monsters, Grey Havens harbour, Bag End, Bree and the Prancing Pony Inn Sign, Amon-Sul (Weathertop), Orthanc in Isengard, Rivendell, Gates of Moria, Entmoot, Helms Deep, Edoras, Gundabad, The Argonath, Dol-Guldur, Minas Tirith, The Woodland Realm, Osgiliath, Erebor, Smaug, Esgaroth, Minas Morgul, Cirith Ungol, Morannon (The Black Gate) Orodruin (Mt Doom), and finally Barad-Dur!
-Finished after a month of work in Feb.2015 I don't remember how many hours.
-Canvas is about 18x38" the outer frame (stained stretcher bars) is 22x40"
-Derwent Graphitint pencil used as watercolor for the land and sea.
-Graphik line painter pens for the linework, went through two each of black and red.
-Copper etching plate cut and shaped as dwarvish accents. plate has been etched with some salty water wire and 9v batteries finished with a blue patina!
-black deer skin leather underneath the copper plating to hopefully protect it
-Image severely reduced, 4x smaller.
