I don't know how I feel about Archie and Maxie's new designs. Archie looks like a crazy pirate and Maxie looks like... well, you know.
It's difficult to see them as interchangeable characters now. They were essentially the same character, depending on which game you were referring to. It'll be interesting to see what happens with them.
Don't pay too much attention to this drawing. I basically thought it up at midnight. Ah, midnight, such a wonderful time for art.

I honestly always liked Archie more than Maxie anyway.
But with this remake I like Archie even more and Maxie even less.
Even without the hipster glasses thing Maxie wears, you can't really compare him to Archie's sexiness.
It's just not a fair battle.
Oddly enough Archie uses water type and Maxie uses fire.... hrm.
