Creating anything starts with a with a white piece of paper, whether it's the beginning of a novel, a sketch or that idea that has kept you awake at night. The pressure of expectations and what people will think, although it's just your own thoughts of the worst case scenario projected on the people around you.Β To me this is a reflection of the creative process and the expectations that comes with it.
I photographed the model out in a field with the desk, chair and lamp. I photographed the model over 300 times to avoid repetition as much as possible. It was a massive cut out job. Shot in natural light exce

This is one crazy great work!
I love hove the crowd's behind him and he sits there relaxed but still.. still not looking at his work but listening to the crowd with one ear. This big, judging crowd of own built pressure.Β
I think it pretty shows perfectly what it is to have things like anxiety and/or imposter syndrome when trying to work. You really want to do stuff but you can hardly enjoy it for yourself, always thinking about others, hoping for appreciation but expecting harsh critic and hate. And in the end you still know it's in your mind and you shouldn't even worry, but at the same time you can't stop and then you hate yourself for being your own blockade. To me, the guy feels very alone and lost and the big united crowd behind him makes it even stronger of a feel.
It's hard to come to peace with your own mind. Expectations aren't wrong to have but they shouldn't be the core motivator.

The shadow from the man on the desk is the actual shadow that the sun made on it. So reality sometimes look fake

Subliminal message of what? You judging yourself based on others opinions that you fabricate yourself. Seems pretty deep.
Except I don't really care what others think boi I do what I want. Criticism is cool and all but as they say dab on them haters.
