"SHUT IT!" The moon dragon snarled and Peccantum backed away, "You're nothing but a burden wherever you go anyways! Always spouting your insane ideas! You don't make friends, no one likes you, it would better if you were gone anyways!"

There was a flash of movement, and it took Peccantum a moment to realize that Aaravos had just lunged for the much smaller dragon.

Aaravos, though, found himself suddenly pinning the Moon dragon against a nearby tree. Talons holding his throat and pupils even thinner slits.

“Watch. Your. Tongue.” His voice was calm...but there was a deadly feel to it. “Or I will rip it from your miserable mouth.”

The smaller dragon didn't seem to expect the attack. He froze, eyes now wide and staring at Aaravos'. He seemed...almost scared.

Meg, who had known the older Star dragon the longest looked worried. “Aar-“

“Dragons like you disgust me.” Aaravos continued, pressing in further, “you think you can ostracize and ridicule those that are different or don’t fit in with your ideas of the world. Never thinking of what will come of it.”

The moon dragon struggled, attempting to free himself from Aaravos grasp. The fear dissipated and he looked annoyed.

"Get off of me!"

Peccantum approached, alarmed. If Aaravos was going to kill the other... Peccantum didn't want to have that on his conscious...

“Aaravos...” Meg looked uneasy. He was still glaring at the Moon dragon. He wouldn’t...kill him would he? She knew he had in the past under different circumstances...but this was different. This dragon was powerless to defend himself.

"I said get off!" The moon dragon demanded once again, apparently ignoring Meg, "Why do you care so much? Just cause he's another star dragon?!"

Aaravos didn’t answer. He slammed the Moon dragon-hard-against the tree. It cracked a little from the impact. Meg covered her mouth to stifle any noise.

The dragon let out a strangled yelp as he hit the tree. He seemed...dazed by the attack. "Stop!" Peccantum finally jumped next to them, glaring at Aaravos, "What are you doing?"

“Teaching a lesson.” He responded coldly, glaring at the Moon dragon still. This brat...he tried words, but words didn’t seem to get through to him. They were all the same...they never listened to his warnings. So they paid the-

Peccantum's eyes widen as he saw Aaravos raise an arm, almost subconsciously, and his claws began to fill with magic. Peccantum grabbed the arch dragon's free arm and yanked it down. His mind was racing, he had to stop this. As much as he disliked the moon dragon, he didn't want his life ended.

"A lesson?! Are you insane? How is he supposed to learn anything when he's dead?!" Peccantum growled, "Let him go Aaravos, he did nothing wrong."

Nothing wrong? Aaravos looked at Peccantum.

“He endangered both of your lives, risking the exposure of dragons to humans, and got you both lost on this end of the border. Just because you insulted him and his family.” His voice was calm but hard, but at least he no longer looked ready to kill. “You call that doing nothing wrong?”

"Put him down. You've already beaten him."

An except of an RP me and my friend BlackDragon-Studios did over on tumblr. I'm transcripting the full thing for personal reasons, but wanted to share this sketch I did of an amazing scene. Drawing everyone as dragons was a real challenge, but I'm happy with how it turned out.
