Description
The morning came around a lot faster than I had expected it too. I was tired; I barely got a wink of sleep. Bridgette followed me to the arena. She knew there was something wrong but didn’t say anything.
I stood next to the master without a hello. He looked over at Team A and then back at me. I went and joined them. I stood next to Natsu’s side and kept my head down low. I wasn’t sure if they knew what was coming but no one spoke to me.
I watched carefully as Erza took her turn. She took out all one hundred monsters, leaving nothing for anyone else to defeat. That’s when they brought out the MPF. My guts twisted at the sight of it. I moved down into the arena before I was even called upon. I stood in the shadows.
“We have an extra special guest, one that is a part of Fairy Tail. She is very talented and strong, just like many of the dragon slayers. Introducing (F/N), the daughter of Acnologia.” The announcer yelled at the top of his lungs.
The crowd went silent as I stepped out into the light. They all stared in fear and I could see how this could be my future. People would fear me, scream and run in my presence. I would be nothing but a killer.
I walked over to Cana, who was drinking. She passed me the half bottle she was drinking out of. I took it and drunk what was left. I threw the bottle aside. She smiled and put an arm around me.
“If anything happens we will be by your side, we all love you (Y/N).” Cana whispered to me.
Everyone was taking their turns. Cana went up and winked at me. She pulled her jacket off; her arm glowed with the Fairy Glitter. I was the last to go.
The dust cleared and Cana had destroyed the MPF. She turned and smiled at me. The crowd cheered for Cana and she rose her arms up into the air.
“Luckily for us,” The announcer started. “we have a backup MPF. We all can see the power that Acnologia taught (Y/N).” The announcer cheered.
The arena was still quiet, I looked up at Sabertooth. Rogue gave me a smile and Frosch gave me a thumbs up. Sting gave me a sort of smile before looking away. I looked over at Fairy Tail, they were all silent. Some of them hadn’t seen what I was capable of and I was about to blow their socks off.
I stood in front of the MPF. I took a deep breath in; I might not be human after this.
I raised my hands, the ground started to shake around me. I closed my eyes and dropped my hands to my side. I could feel it pulsing through me like it was my own blood. I snapped my eyes open; a circle had formed around me. Blue light rose and so did the black flames, they rose up around me. I could see from the corner of my eyes that I was starting to get the same markings as my father on my arms.
“Dragon force.” I screamed at the top of my lungs.
I stood my ground and looked around the arena. My vision was a little blurry and my body was shaking. I looked down at my hands, my finger nails had grown and I could see scales all up my arms. I looked to Makarov a little panicked. He smiled and nodded.
I calmed down and looked at the MPF. I stepped a little closer to it. “I hope this doesn’t get billed to Fairy Tail.” I laughed quietly to myself.
I opened my mouth and a blue beam shot from it. I took a step back and closed my mouth. I had stirred up the dust. I could hear people talking from the stands. The dust finally settled down. The screen popped up, the numbers kept rolling. I had broken it that badly that it couldn’t calculate my score.
I turned and smiled widely at Fairy Tail, they let out a loud cheer which was then followed by the crowds. I spun around and waved to everyone. I stopped when I got to Sabertooth’s box. They all looked a little confused and overly shocked. I flashed Rogue and Sting a smile before collapsing to the ground.
I woke up in my bed. Rogue and Sting were in my room. Sting was sitting next to me and Rogue was in the kitchen doing something. I rolled over and Sting looked down at me. I tried to give him a smile but I felt weak.
“How are you feeling?” He asked brushing my hair away.
“Sore and tired.” I said looking up into his eyes.
“I’m sorry (Y/N) for what I said. I had no right to judge you. Can you forgive me?” He said quietly.
I gave a small nod. “I think I can do that. What happened to me?” I asked.
Sting helped me sit up as Rogue brought me a hot drink. “You passed out after using Dragon force; everyone was cheering your name. Natsu and Gajeel brought you back here and we promised to look after you. They were hesitant at first but Bridgette assured them that we would be fine with you.” Sting said keeping his arm around me.
I took the drink from Rogue and gave him a weak smile. “Thank you for staying with me.” I said taking a sip of my drink.
Rogue smiled at me. “It’s okay, the games must be nearly over. Natsu said he would be over here as soon as they finished up. We will stay until they arrive.” Rogue said smiling at me.
I nodded. “Natsu is mostly likely going to drag me to Ryuuzetsu land. I heard them talking about it before the games started this morning.”
“Maybe you stood just stay here and rest. I don’t mind looking after you. I’ve done it before.” Sting said.
I shook my head. “Nah, I’ve always wanted to go to Ryuuzetsu land and anyhow what kind of Fairy Tail member would I be if I didn’t join them?” I laughed trying to move off the bed.
Sting moved forward and helped me. He put his arm around me. “Do you want us to stay tonight?” Sting asked.
I shook my head. “No way, have you guys forgotten what tomorrow is?” I said looking at both of them.
Rogue turned a little red in the face and looked away. Sting gave me an apologetic look. I gave off a small laugh.
“That’s what I thought.” I moved away from Sting and over to my bag.
I found my bikini and disappeared into the bathroom and got changed. I walked out with a button up shirt and a pair shorts over them. A knock at the door came and Natsu walked in. He looked at Sting and Rogue.
“Hurry up (Y/N). I wanna go to the water park.” Natsu nagged.
I rolled my eyes and moved stiffly over to him. Rogue moved over to my side and helped me. Natsu watched him carefully.
“Are you coming with us Rogue?” Natsu asked.
Rogue looked at me and I smiled at him. He gave a small nod. “I’ll just go get changed.” Rogue said disappearing out the door.
I looked over at Sting. “How about you sad sack? Are you going to come and have fun?” I asked with a grin.
Sting looked at Natsu with a slight disgust in his eyes. “I have things to do, maybe next time.” Sting said as he walked out of the room.
I gave a sigh and looked at Natsu who had been staring Sting down. I could see why he didn’t want to come. I hit Natsu over the head and he gave me a friendly grin. Rogue came out and helped me to Ryuuzetsu land. Natsu had left us behind because I was moving too slowly.
We finally got there and I got greeted by Erza and Lucy. It was good to see Erza moving around, she had done really well.
“How are you feeling?” Erza asked.
I moved my arms around, they clicked in some place. “A little tender but I’m fine. So what did you think?” I asked.
She sweetly smiled at me. “I can see why you’re an S class wizard. You’re magic is incredible.” She commented.
We talked for a little bit but I noticed how awkward Rogue was getting. He was red in the face and was refusing to look at anyone. We moved away from everyone and found a heated pool. I took my button up shirt and shorts off. Rogue was peeking from the corner of his eyes.
I slipped into the pool; the water was so warm and lovely. Rogue slipped in beside me. He was a little quite at first. I rolled my head and looked over at him. I placed my arms on the side of the pool. I still had the markings on them.
“How come you still have the markings?” Rogue asked.
I looked at them. “It’s a reminder that one day I will become just like my father. I will change into a dragon and wreak havoc upon the earth.” I said sadly.
Rogue moved closer to me. He took my arm and looked the markings closer. I watched him with interest. He looked up at me and smiled before looking back at the markings. I watched him carefully as his red eyes moved along my skin.
He moved his head up and looked into my eyes. “I hope that day never comes.” He whispered to me with a little sadness in his eyes.
I nodded as I held his stare. He moved a little closer, our faces were only a few inches apart. A loud splash made us pull apart. I moved away a little. Natsu popped up from the water and looked at us. He glared at Rogue before quickly running out of the pool.
Lucy looked down at us. “You two should come with me.” She said there was an evil glint in her eyes and I didn’t trust it one bit.
I was about to question her when Rogue stood up. He slowly helped me up. He kept his arm around me as we followed Lucy.
We came to stand on top of the waterslide. I looked down; it was a long way down. I gave Rogue a nervous look. I looked at Lucy and saw Sting running over to me.
“What are you doing here?” I yelled to him.
He smiled at me. “It was boring in my room so I thought I would come and hang with you guys.” He said.
He was nearly to us when he slipped and bowled into us. We were knocked onto the water slide. Rogue, Sting and I were now all huddled together on the waterslide. My stomach started to churn and I looked at Rogue and Sting and they looked like they were about to be sick.
It was terrible. We finally got to the bottom but the sickness was still hanging around. Sting was floating in the pool with a green face and Rogue was trying to hold his dignity. I looked up to find that Natsu was in the process of destroying the place.
There was an explosion and everyone became scattered. I looked up and saw everyone around me. Erza was sitting on Jellal’s face. I looked down and realised I was on top of poor Rogue.
That night was one I wouldn’t forget.
