So, this is my second piece of art I have worked on this year. The first was a card for my nieces baby shower with pink and purple butterflies but forgot to scan it. This is a concept WIP for a leather journal cover my father is going to make for me. It will have Almalphia, my purple winged unicorn on the front. I plan to incorporate lots of Pagan symbols, and I hope some knot work as well as some other things I am sure. I have not really started a journal or any book of shadows work into a real journal yet, but I figured with a cover that I can purchase refills for I can always have a beautiful journal at my disposal and have it not cost me an arm and a leg. I hate to spend like 30 dollars on a journal, then fill it up and have to spend another 30. I will post more of the progression as I work on it and I hope to get my father to join DA so he can post some of his leather work and other art that he does. I made a promise to myself that this year was going to be different, last year I did no art because I was in a funk. This year I want to set aside at least a 1/2 hour a day just to do some kind of art, as well as at least 1/2 hour to meditate and focus just on me. I need that, and until I actually sat today and worked on this, I had forgotten how grand it felt to create!
