Yeah, like the way everything has this cluttered appearance, like more arbitrary details in the weapons skins.

The Assault Rifle particularly makes no sense. I mean, they make it look like that pointlessly huge ammo counter on the top is at least removable. But then that piece of metal at the front still blocks all thought of an actual set of iron sights!

How do the rebels shoot them? They don't have helmets with Huds! What do they do, guess?

lol. The Reach Militia Assault Rifle is a cross between the MA5C and the MA5K (a cut down version of the MA5B but with no ammo counter). The MA5s are shredder weapons anyway, the only time they are even remotely accurate is in 3-5 shot bursts. Plus, they are almost exclusively loaded with tracers.

But yes, it is silly. When I get better armor, I'll paint in an MA5B.

Man, now it makes even less sense. Loading a gun exclusively with tracers is more expensive, and reduces the operational life of the rifle.

Marines today pride themselves on accuracy, that's why they still use the longer barreled M16's.

And, I mean, even if you kept it down to a 3-5 round burst, you'd still be as inaccurate as shit because you have no iron sights. There is no method of lining the gun up on a target without a bunch of extra hardware. A distinct disadvantage in a basic infantry rifle.

I don't know, man. It's a SciFi. It looks cool. It plays well. I enjoy it. Maybe I'll redesign the MA5B just for you. With no extra hard ware... or you could settle for the DMR [link] .

I do, but still, it's a Designated Marksman Rifle. I just can't get over the standard issue rifle being completely unfeasible as a rifle.
