Description
While my inking method hasn't changed much, I started trying something a little different with my shading technique on an unrelated piece (which will be up here soon enough) by adjusting the color levels on a shade layer. For the Powered kaiju, I only used one shading layer (opposed to my usual three + highlights layer), but I think the simplicity works on these pieces.

Anywho, Baltan's redesign is pretty neat. He's a bit on the stylized side, but looking more armored/mechanical. There is a slightly more interesting variation of the design, known as the Psycho Baltan (his toy is a tough one to find these days, I hear). I might get around to him eventually.
