Description
*AKA Cyber Rodan. This was the last Power-Up figure I got when they were still found at retail (albeit on their way out). I never played with him much, though, since the ball joint for his right wing immediately broke after opening his packaging (I've fixed it since then). Aside from that, he is a pretty cool figure.
On a side note, I never really talked about the design before. It's fairly obvious that he's a stylized take on the '93 design. It's definitely an outdated interpretation of a pterosaur having bat wings, but given what kind of monsters the entire lore has to offer (not just these toys), it's not much of a stretch. In a way, it plays into the notion that he's likely nocturnal. The "Godzilla vs Rodan" micro-playset depicted his lair being a dark cavern, after all.
I did inadvertently pose him like I did my Varan piece, but it was a combination of me identifying his swiftness with that of an acrobat or martial artist and to show off that cannon strapped to his leg. Like a giant homing pigeon with a very profound message for his opponent.

I feel your pain with the wings. I owned both this guy and a normal Trendmasters Rodan, and still do - the only difference is neither has wings anymore :/

Wow! That looks badass! I don't have this figure but I'm more into the bandai line. Do you have it?

My first was GODZILLA VS COSMIC MONSTER (MechaGodzilla '74). Or, if you count it as a Godzilla movie by extension, my first was MOTHRA (1961).

This is another really awesome piece of art. I must confess...why I do have all the "normal" Godzilla figures from that line....save for the trio of Megalon, Varan, and Baragon....I never did pick up any of this G.I. Joe like Godzilla figures.
Actually.....these sort of remind me of a popular 80's cartoon that I use to watch all the time. It was called The Centurions. It was probably before you time, but it was really cool.

That is a remastered clip from the original Intro to the show. It's only a minute long...but you will get the idea of how that sort of relates to these Treadmaster Godzilla figures.

Yeah, anything prior to November 29, 1990 is before my time.
Truth be told, that actually reminds me more of the G-Force members Trendmasters made. The Power-Ups are more like Dino-Riders.

Oh I barely remember those Dino Riders toys lol But I did have that Trex figure.
Still, in the end, it is cool to see someone draw the more "rare" kaijus. Even if it is something as offshoot as this. You have an amazing style and you really do all these characters justice

I had that same thought myself. DinoRiders--Guns n Lizards!
So who or what would dare provide monsters with bionic powers?

G-Force might've been a bit more successful trying to control Rodan. Key phrase being "a bit."
