Description
*Edit: According to the Big Cheese himself ( ), it's technically an "Imitation Ultraman", so it's not legit for the contest. No biggie, it doesn't change the fact that I like the work I did on this. That, and I have a back-up or two in mind.----
I rather appreciate what I've done here. It was hard picking the name for him, deciding between -tech, -mech, or -mecha. Ultratech sounds a bit more intimidating, so I went with that. Considering most humanoid mechas traditionally have face plates, I figured it'd be cool to give him the face plate.
And even though the bio seems a bit long and preachy, read it carefully - there's a little Easter Egg in there.
----
NAME: Ultratech
HEIGHT: 45 meters (to tip of Blasters on back)
WEIGHT: 35,500 tons
FLIGHT SPEED: Mach 3 (Mach 4 when overloaded)
HUMAN FORM: N/A
TRANSFORMATION ITEM: N/A
WEAPONS/ABILITIES:
-Dual Sun-beam Cannons; can rotate and point downward to be used as jet boosters
-Corona Blasters (the green lenses on the arms); pointed in the direction of its target to fire a wave of raw solar power, limited to one blast per lense every 5 minutes
-Power supply is unlimited due to solar energy-absorbing equipment
-Programmed to counteract most of Ultraman's moves
For some time, a race of alien warlords, from a distant solar system gritted their teeth, scrutinizing from on high the countless victories Ultraman claimed. Where do these amateur monsters come from?, they'd sneer. But it would be short lived, for if they wanted to take Earth and all its luxurious resources, then Ultraman would have to be eliminated...a task deemed impossible...
That is until their wild and crazy idea came to light - the only thing capable of defeating Ultraman was another Ultra. The solution? A "replica" of Ultraman, that's what! They had the technology, and they would put it to good use. But one thing was keeping them from completing the project - where could they find enough energy to power this machine? They had solar-energy technology installed, but it was only powerful enough to fuel its weapons.
By happenstance, they came across a strange device, roughly the size of a soda can. Emitting a distinct aura of power, it could only mean one thing - it was an Ultra's transformation capsule! They added it to the plan, but they would only activate its power, but not the Ultra itself. Knowledge of Ultraman's limited power due to Earth's climate, they'd leave the solar equipment on to supply the capsule to keep it "alive" and fuel its weaponry. The aliens took a big risk in doing so, but they managed to pull it off, and Ultratech, as it was called, was completed. The machine came to life, completely under the aliens' command. (cue dramatic music)
The aliens, remaining in the Earth's orbit, immidiately launched Ultratech and started a small-scale attack on a populated area to draw out its primary target. Knowing that there was only one thing to do, Hayata activated the Beta Capsule, and transformed into Ultraman! But, unlike his previous battles, Ultraman was hesitant to strike. With keen sense, Ultraman could detect the capsule within the mechanical shell. To destroy one is to destroy the other. And due to his limited energy, Ultraman couldn't hold out forever. To make matters even worse, the solar energy-absorbing equipment was still installed, and his power level was actually rising. In moments after Ultraman's transformation, it had reached above 9000 volts - by human standards, this seemed impossible for any meters to be correct. The battle turned in favor of the Ultratech, for it was able to counteract any of Ultraman's moves.
While executing his defensive strategy, Ultraman pinpointed where the capsule was exactly within the alien machine (its head), but had taken too much damage to get close enough to save the capsule. With his power getting to a dangerous low, he posed (classic Ultraman pose) to fire his Specium Ray - he had to try this carefully, for he could hit Ultratech's head and destroy the Ultra capsule, or he could miss altogether and be left defenseless. Ultratech's counteractive programming took over (to dodge it), but no Specium Ray was fired. Ultraman took advantage of Ultratech's recovery from its maneuver and blasted it on the left side of its chest, knocking the metal leviathan stumbling backwards. Ultraman fell, barely able to hold his own head up.
Somewhat dazed and confused, so to speak, Ultratech regained its balance, but didn't move after that. After a few moments passed, it began to step up to the weakened Ultraman. Ultraman was ready for death's grip to take him, but Ultratech did not attack; instead, it held out its hand to help Ultraman up. The blast from the Specium Ray had ended the oppression of the capsule!
As Ultraman locked his arm to his former enemy, he became stronger - Ultratech's power was being transferred into Ultraman! After Ultraman stood on his feet, back to full strength, Ultratech began to sputter and grind. The aliens, realizing that Ultratech was no longer theirs to control, had activated a self-destruct mechanism that had been equipped especially for the event of losing control of their puppet. Ultratech didn't have much time, and, with a farewell to Ultraman, blasted into space for the alien vessel. Latching himself onto the ship, his body detonated, taking the entire ship with him. Ultraman could no longer sense his comrade. Realizing there was nothing more he could do, Ultraman transformed back into Hayata.
For now, the battle was over.
Unbeknownst to the SSSP and Ultraman, the capsule transformed into the Ultra it contained, and headed back to Nebula M78. It was actually one of several Ultras that was sent to find/rescue Ultraman and resorted to becoming a transformation item due to loss of energy and was picked up along the way by the aliens when nearing Earth. Since Ultraman's location was confirmed, his mission was a success.

That actually exists in canon. There are robotic duplicates of all the original 5 Ultra Brothers (two of Ace) and a sorta robot double of Dyna in the form of Terranoid

An alien super robot with the power of an Ultran? With no time limit? even Ultra father would be staggered by the awesomeness of his power!!!

The only difference between Gods and Monsters is that Monsters can be killed.
