The instant Ren saw his father he calmed down, which made the Convexity aura go away and stopped the bleeding, although his eyes are still glowing.Just like that collar is Ren's memento of his father, Ren himself is Terrador's memento of his adoptive/real son. Even though Terrador never found out the truth, he still firmly believed Brave was his legitimate son. Fortunately for Terrador no one besides him knows what happened that night so there's no proof that the great, battle-hardened Earth guardian broke down into tears like that.
