Description
Merrow are an aquatic race if I remember similar to mermaids, kinda. I don't remember tbh. I wanted to try to make a land-based aquatic race. As in one that was built for the sea but COULD move easily on land. This was the result. Hope ya like it!Related content

Wow, this one looks very interesting. It looks like a crossbreed between naga and mermaid.
Kinda terrifying knowing that you won't be safe on land and in the waters with the Merrow.
LOVE IT!

Thanks! Yea that was totally the idea! XD
I mean they're not evil. So you'd be safe regardless.

Reminds me of Basilosaurus, maybe its homeland can be mangrove swamps

Oh yea. I can see that. What's a mangrove swamp?

Its basically a tropical sea swamp.
Lots of water, some shallow lagoons and patches of land and mangrove forests, I think if there was anywhere a half aquatic race could live that would be it as its not far from the sea but would be safe from larger predators (if this world it lives in has those much like in dinosaur era seas which were teaming with large predators).
If you know Basilosaurus from the Walking With Beasts series its the place it was driven to hunt in that had channels of water and beaches.
I dunno having been to a swamp like that I feel like its just perfect.
Either that or just islands they migrate to and from to use as a home and shelter, I've seen isands with sheer drops and some who basically have a mine field of sharp coral when the tide goes down.

I think many places would do well for a sentient humanoid, if there are sea predators these are perfect advantages

Well its better than nothing.
Plus mangrove swamps don't have much open land anyways.
Nothing too big probably.
