Here's a redesign I did of Tali from Mass Effect.My original here [link]
A lot of people Didn't like how much she looked like Predator,. So I fixed her head to resemble more of the Turian and Krogan a bit. However I wanted to keep the mandibles because i feel like they help my design stand out from the others.
I also wanted to make her a bit cuter. I feel like she may have turned out a bit too human, which i wanted to stay away from.

This is really cool! Much better than the canon design.
I just started Mass Effect 2 and I'm really hoping I don't get the scene were we see her canon face. I always imagined her looking much more alien and was terribly disappointed when I saw her "real" face. This is far superior to what BioWare came up with.

Interesting, I like the combination of hard plating and hair, makes me think of insects, which would make sense in context of the lore. She does look truly unique.
Most of all, MAJOR props for making her actually look like an alien. I kinda dislike how most people (even Bioware) made her look like a human with some scribble on her face.

I like it. And for those that think there's too much turian in it, I disagree. She's a member of the only other race in the ME galaxy that is dextro-amino besides the turians. It makes SENSE that she's have some sharp edges. Maybe not plates, since she didn't grow up in the radiation of Palaven, but I could definitely agree with some sharper bone structure.
It's about damn time people started coming out with something besides the damn stock photo manip versions of quarians that BW rushed out stupidly. They're not elves, ffs.
This is good. I'd say the mandibles are in the way of the mouth a bit, but I don't disagree with their existence either. The ears are a little on the wild side, but not completely outside the realm of possibilities either.
Overall, it's a good idea, and I applaud you for sharing it.

Yeah I can understand that, and that's fine, but if they were gonna keep her like the Master Chief, they should've never done the reveal, and certainly not in the crappy way they did. I totally understand wanting to maintain the mystique of a masked character/race, but don't ruin the mystique with really bad stock photo editing, ya know? Makes a lot more sense to me. Oh well. Their loss.
