Description
STAGE 1:-fairly normal, with small flecks of crystal growing underneath his eyes, on his arms, legs and abdomen
-nervous system and organs still in tact, but he begins to feel the effects of the virus very early on still, such as appetite slowly shifting
STAGE 2:
-hair slowly loses pigment but still a light brown
-crystals have begun to affect his vision in his right eye, still has an actual eye though where crystals are beginning to form and flowing out from the eyesocket
-holes begin showing as the virus eats its way through giann's abdomen where more crystals begin to grow
STAGE 3: CURRENT STAGE
-hair loses further pigment, becomes a light pale pink
-right eye is completely gone, crystals around it have grown and skin has begun to deteroriate on the far right side of his face, showing what is truly growing underneath the skin cells as a result of the virus
-crystals further grow down his arms and start forming at his hips and shoulders more visibly in clumps
-weight loss clearly visible, no longer eating regularly
-organs affected
STAGE 4:
-hair continues losing pigment
-left eye is affected as was the right one, slowly losing vision as crystals grow out of it
-more crystals form on his body
-the skin has deteriorated around his arms, legs and chest
STAGE 5:
-hair has completely lost all pigment, is now a faded offwhite
-skin is no longer there, only a solid stone surface
-completely blinded, no longer has eyes
-more holes have opened in the body, and more crystals have grown until they completely cover his body
-no longer eats, body doesn't need food to sustain itself
-nervous system nonexistent as the virus has turned him into stone and crystal completely, no longer considered alive

Poor fellow, this is a very nice concept though! Stage 5 looks beautiful, but it's quiteΒ sad.
I like that even though the crystals have essentially taken over, the human figure is still there

thanks!<3 yeah, it was my take on what actual golems in video games would look like if they were real plus caused by a disease :'D

wowerz theres something appealing about the deep shame/body mutilation he has no control over making a VERY interesting story and character! Well done ^.^ sad for him but also just a cool concept!

nah, it's a really small world just involving two characters so far ;v; maybe it'll be fleshed out in the future, but magic worlds aren't really my forte? unlike my companionverse where i can really get into it because ai and robot feels are my strong points laff..

Oh well two is still really great! ouoΒ
Well magical stuff is definitely tricky sometimes because all the logic is just bonkers sometimes =v=;; But I'm hopeful to a future where you do more of that so I can see more fantastical artwork!
(pfft robos are just so cute and sad oh you nonhuman human structures)

hmm I am curious about something even though in the last stage he isn't considered alive, how does he go on "living" or does he just prefer to stay in one place unseen by the rest of the world. Also does the crystal formation easily break like if gets hit hard he'll fall apart~ (sorry if it's confusing I don't know how to explain this)

he actually dies after stage 5 8) what goes on is internally, his organs are being affected by the virus, first turning cells to stone which is the first part of it, then the crystals form which is the 2nd. insides are affected first, but brain and heart are the last things to go.. there's really no happy ending but luckily canonically he doesn't reach stage 5 :'DD
"the idea is that the virus attacks cells and forces a type of 'stone' wall around each cell that deteriorates said cell eventually- it's a slow and definitely painful process until the cells are actually completely affected, otherwise its only some parts of it being affected which still leaves him mostly human in that case!
the erosion of the cells is what affects his skin and slowly replaces with the stone, this happens within and outside of his body, so you can only imagine how his organs and everything are being affected! eventually leading to death tho..Β "
his crystals are pretty tough, if he were hit i doubt they'd break easily if at all tbh!! theyre pretty uh.. attached to his skin, embedded into the stone and merges to his body
i realize this isn't the most logically scientific sound but this is also in a magical setting where being exposed to magic and having an extremely bad immune system left him to be infected with this whatever it is LOL i do like trying to get... as close as i can to realism with stuff like this though 8)
