Description
Soooo...I decided to try making something with Purplekeckleon's tutorial and, more importantly, learn a thing or two and experiment a bit with colors(and force myself out of this weird art block I've got). It was a success in that yes, I learned a lot(and figured out how the brush tool works), but I also screwed up and ended up scrapping the whole "stick strictly to the tutorial the first time around" plan. u~u;
But it's still cute in its own way! ...Right?

Thanks! :D And sorta. Mostly it just helped me figure out that I need to be more patient with drawing and learning new things, so I plan on having a tutorial binge sometime soon.

You're welcome! Patience does seem to be key. Well I have quite a few saved in my Tutorial folder of favorites, so if you ever want to check those out feel free~

Vote Vibrava for President! Okay, so it's not really that similar , but it reminded me nonetheless.
Anyway, this has an interesting look to it. I should try something with a bit of subjective color some time (which is only relevant to this image if that's grass and not water...).
Art blockage smells like skunk roadkill smells: Unpleasant. May your deodorizer be swift and effective!

It's got the red, blue, and beige for it!
Thanks! Yep, that's grass, so it looks like the plan to make it look like grass despite being blue worked out. :3
Someone once told me that, whatever it is you're practicing, there will always be times when you reach a hurdle and feel completely unsatisfied with what you can do, but that it's always right before a big improvement if you can overcome it...sorta like stairs in that there's suddenly this big, abrupt slope staring you down, but it brings you to higher places as long as you take time to climb it and don't give up. Dunno where I was going there, but I think this art block is like that. Basically...I'm gonna kick that skunk off these stairs and get to climbing!

Aye!
That it did.
Wise words. May your kicking and climbing be fruitful.
