hello again guys!
from left to right, the planets in this system are:
kepler-11b (small middleground planet to the left of the image)
kepler-11e (large foreground planet to the left of the star)
kepler-11c (small planet transiting the star)
kepler-11d (large planet transiting the star)
kepler-11g (small background planet to the right of and behind the star)
kepler-11f (large foreground planet to the right of the image)
spent about 6 hours working on this. as usuall, most of the work was done on the background and editing it.
so enjoy the image!

Kepler - 11
Description
Kepler-11 is a star like our sun located roughly 2000 light years away from earth in the constellation of cygnus the swan. it has been confirmed by the kepler spacecraft that the star has 6 known planets in orbit around it. these planets make up the most compact and flattest extrasolar system discovered to date. if the system was compared with ours, the orbit of the system's outermost planet, kepler-11g would be just slightly furhter than the orbit of mercury in our solar system. the system is also so flat that the greatest deviation between the orbital planes of the planets is less than 1°. because of this, all planets transit the star as seen from earth and this is how they were discovered by the kepler spacecraft. because the planets in this system were dicovered at the same time, they are named in order of increasing distance from the star (kepler - 11b to kepler - 11g).
the planets in this system are relatively small 2 - 4.5 earth radii. they also have small masses for planets of their size, giving them low densities of roughly 0.5 - 1.5 cc's. because of these low densities, the smaller planets in this system are classified as gas dwarfs which are planets that are roughly slightly larger than earth, but have compositions similar to that of larger gas giant planets. the larger planets in this system are more similar to the planets uranus and neptune in our solar system and so, are classified as ice giants.
because of the tight orbits of these planets, the furthest planet in this system from the star, still has an equilibrium temperature twice that of the earth.
also, despite the planet's close orbits in the system, they do not seem to participate in any orbital resonances with one another. there is and exception though, where the two closest planets to the star, planets b and c, participate in a near 5:4 resonance with each other.

I think all the planets in the Kepler-11 system are tidally locked as they all are inside the Orbit of Venus.

I feel that there needs to be a very little something more in the black spaces, just a very little bit. I love the blackness itself, but feel that with just a little bit, maybe a very faint gaseous nebula kind of thing. I don't know. I guess I don't really have the right to say what is better or not hahaha, but yeah, thats just my opinion .

i did add in a milkyway background to the artwork but it does look a little dark. may brighten that in the future.

Well, I like the darkness as well, I guess I can't make up my mind hahaha. I was inspired by your piece and decided to try make my own .
