The all mighty Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. What else could be better?! I mean, fighting, weapons, action, pizza and turtles! This guys ruled in their time (and they still do). I used to have toys, coloring books, posters, board games, video games, you name it, so this time I wanted to take a hike to those childhood memories and remember why the TMNT were so damn awesome!
This started as a pencil sketch some 2 or 3 years ago, finally decided to finish it. I used the Red-eared slider tortoise as a reference for the skin, it also made a little sense; this kind of turtle is indigenous and the most popular pet in America (the whole continent), and since the Turtles lived in New York well it was practically the perfect choice as a rough reference.

Somehow my fave's arm looks a bit off. Slightly as if it's broken (Raph).

Totally agree, but to tell you the truth I didn't notice till 40 mins. through the painting so I was too lazy to correct it!
