Description
My fox and I did a bookproject together. He wrote four wonderful storries (in German only) and I illustraded them. This is one of my favourite pictures.Extreme shortcut about the story:
The fox Cass is a result of a genetic breeding experiment developed and studied by a group of scientists in a laboratory. To test their intelectual potential they play chess against their objects.
The story is about an conversation between Cass and Prof. Anderson. About what is wright and what is wrong from both point of views.
My first Copic piece! I love these kind of markers... *heart*

Nice angle of the picture; good to have the chess board in view, and the smile on the fox's face

looks great; reminds me of a chess game where I (fox) played against and trumped my friend (a husky).

Lovely work. I, too, adore the 'haha' look on his face, subtle though it may be.

That might be a problem for Cass (the foxes name), he doesnΒ΄t wear much.

I read the description, so I know it wasn't Strip Chess, but still, that'd be kinda funny... XD

ItΒ΄s because itΒ΄s an illustration to round out a written story. You need to read the story to get a relation.

Very well-done, though the bored doesn't look like a checkmate quite yet, as neither player has moved.

But he already knows that he will win this game. x)
The pic justs underlines the story and doesnΒ΄t stand completely for itself. I tried to catch the beginning and the end in one moment.

Congrats on your DD. I love the fox's expression, and I would -cretainly- avoid him in chess. I mean look, it won without moving a piece. Look at that confidence.

Nobody's even moved yet though. But it's featuring chess, so this gets a fav on my end regardless. Nice job giving your fox human like expressions. I'd pick up that book just to see the illustrations, too bad the stories are in German though, or else I might've been interested in reading them. Looks good, I hope your fox was happy with this one.

This is really amazing, I love the perspective really makes the picture interesting, I'm wondering how you managed to make the background so smooth with markers. Copics must really be that much better than prisma. Well deserved Daily Devation, grats!

AlphaKi In reply to Darksavvy [2009-02-22 11:34:34 +0000 UTC]
Thanks very much. ^.^
To be honest, that was the first serious try with copics... hence the background doesnΒ΄t look half smooth as I wanted. x)
But if youΒ΄re a bit skilled you can let copics look like a digital colouration.
