Bio:
He is the leader of the Decepticon who risen up from being a lowly miner to become a champion in gladiatorial combat. As a gladiator, he took the name of the legendary "Megatronus a.k.a The Fallen" one of the original Thirteen Primes who betrayed his comrades and became the first Decepticon. As his own, and would similarly inspire a later villainous character. He became an activist, trying to reform Cybertron's corrupt governing body and end its unfair caste system. He mentored the young Orion Pax, and together they championed the downtrodden and preached that freedom of self-determination was the right of all sentient beings. Orion Pax would later become Optimus Prime and utilize Megatron's teachings against him when he became corrupt. Now he has become the enemies who swore to destroy the corruption. So he established himself as the Leader of the Decepticons and started a war against Optimus Prime and the Autobot resistance.

Background:
D-16 was once a miner who toiled under the corrupt regime of the High Council, toiling away in the mines along with other downtrodden 'bots like Impactor and fighting for the amusement of his masters. In drawing attention to this inequity, he inspired a Hall of Records clerk and a former Elita Guard Cadet named Orion Pax, and the two unluckily cybertronian joined forces to end corruption and bring equality to the masses. Orion and Megatronus became close allies, almost like brothers in arms. Megatronus shortened his name to Megatron before he and Orion Pax appeared before the High Council. Megatron threatened the council, promising to overthrow them and instate himself as the next Prime—a declaration of hostility that shocked Orion, and moved him to an impassioned speech in favour of autonomy that successfully swayed the council where Megatron had failed. Jealous, Megatron left the council and Orion behind and assembled his followers—including perennial loyalist Soundwave and scheming second-in-command Jetfire—into an army he would revived the name after Megatronus original followers, The Decepticon. This led to a war for Cybertron, thus killing Ariel, Dion and his own brother, Orion until they were rebuilt and reformatted as Elita One, Ultra Magnus and Optimus Prime.

Megatron launched an attack on Iacon in order to destroy the new ruler of Cybertron, Sentinel Zeta Magnus. During the attack, he came into possession of information on Optimus Prime's location, and ordered Trypticon—the name of the weapon, for it was actually a Cybertronian—to fire upon it. Trypticon, however, was forced into his natural form and defeated after he crash-landed on Cybertron. Megatron's reaction to this went unrecorded. After Trypticon Defeat, he sent Starscream, Onslaught and Brawl to capture Optimus and bring him before him. As Megatron executed two Autobots before his Optimus' eyes, Optimus pleaded that they only wanted to leave Cybertron, but Megatron wasn't going to allow him. As the Warp Cannon prepared to destroy both Iacon, and the Decepticon leader to do the same to the Autobot leader, the newly awakened Metroplex led tore the roof off of the building they were in. Refusing to retreat, Megatron fired at the colossus, only to be pulverized by the giant Autobot fist. Ultimately, Megatron was killed and the Decepticons were finally forced to agree to an armistice and exile from Cybertron for good. After Megatron death, Blitzwing held a funeral session for his leader at New Kaon.

After the funeral, Straxus took control of the Decepticons and proceeded to run the organization into the ground by wasting resources and his failure to inspire the troops. Unhappy with the change in management, Soundwave salvaged what was left of Megatron, rebuilt him into a new form in his Kaon laboratory on Cybertron, and reactivated him with a Super Energon infusion. After awakening, Megatron was enraged to see that Straxus was in control, and then proceeded to crash Straxus coronation ceremony. Slaughtering the Seeker's loyalists, Megatron turned on Straxus and drove him off. Due to Straxus self-indulgence, the Decepticons' energon supply was dwindling, forcing Megatron to find more power. He decided to return to Cybertron and while doing so, he happily "reintroduced" himself to the Autobots. Under Megatron's leadership, the Decepticons conquered a large portion of Cybertron, but the Attack had drained the planet of most of its energon resources. He took himself to the front lines during an altercation with the Autobot Wheeljack and the neutral scout B127(Bumblebee); taking a moment to mock Starscream's latest failure, Megatron unsuccessfully tried to appeal to Wheeljack's sense of reason, chastised Bumblebee for not choosing a side, and eventually prepared to execute them—only for Optimus to intervene and escape after Elita-1 launched an ambush that stopped Megatron from delivering the final blow.

Later, Megatron made a speech to the Decepticons regarding recent events that claimed that the battle was the result of a failed assassination attempt, before Ultra Magnus and Sentinel Zeta Magnus arrived to discuss a possible peace conference. The Decepticon leader hoped that Zeta and Magnus had come to discuss an unconditional surrender, but when Magnus told him that he would agree to no such thing, Megatron had both Zeta and Magnus imprisoned. Later, Shockwave discussed the possibility of the AllSpark's existence and the idea of using the mythical artifact to forcibly reprogram from Autobots to Decepticons, although Megatron remained hesitant to commit to the idea. Later, after a failed ambush resulted in the apparent death of Impactor, Megatron held Barricade responsible for the bungled operation. His patience waning, Megatron returned to Magnus's cell to demand the location of Autobot headquarters, and although Magnus pleaded for Megatron to end the war honorably, Megatron gave Shockwave the go-ahead to find the AllSpark.

Megatron broadcasted another transmission to his loyal Decepticons and announced Impactor's apparent death while urging any Autobots to turn themselves in, before intervening in a squabble between Jetfire and Starscream. In-between coordinating the search for the AllSpark, Megatron oversaw Magnus's interrogation and authorized Shockwave to use whatever methods deemed necessary to retrieve the location of the Autobot base. When Magnus attempted to escape and pointed a gun at Megatron's back, the Decepticon leader showed little unconcern, aware that the Autobot would adhere to his code of honor, and when Magnus didn't take the shot Jetfire subdued Magnus and returned him to Decepticon custody, where another round of agonizing torture seemingly broke Magnus. A shackled Magnus led Megatron and the other Decepticons to the old Tarn-Hauser Gate, which he claimed housed the Autobot base, but when Megatron investigated he found that his prisoner had deceived him and executed him on the spot before Sentinel sacrifice his life to save Ultra Magnus and allowed him to escape. Disillusioned by this show of brutality, Jetfire finally broke with the Decepticon ranks and flew off; in response, Megatron ordered his Seekers to kill the traitor. When Starscream reported that Jetfire was dead, Megatron promoted Starscream to Air Commander as a reward.

Sentinel Zeta Magnus's death had triggered the remote transmission to the Second part of the Alpha Trion Protocols that had carried for so long, and in response Shockwave engineered a Stasis virus or Trans-Paralysis, that would travel through Cybertron's infrastructure. It could lock every transformers in their Alt. mode, shutting them down entirely while wiping out the processors of everyone who had carried it. Despite Soundwave's warnings that the virus would take its toll on the planet, an undaunted Megatron ordered him to proceed. Thanks to the virus, the Decepticons finally discovered the location of the Ark, and Megatron announced his intent to personally lead the final assault. Before the final battle, He arrive at Tyger Pax to retrieve the power core from the fallen Trypticon, only to realized that Trypticon is still alive and had Shockwave revitalize him. Megatron didn't know or care whether or not Trypticon was still sentient or not, but told the beast that since he had failed him, he would be rebuilt to Megatron's liking. Megatron then told Shockwave to initiate the "Nemesis Protocol" and permanently lock Trypticon in his alternate form: a transport ship which they would use to traverse the Space Bridge, henceforth Nemesis. In the final battle, Megatron attempted to stop Optimus Prime from throwing the AllSpark through the space bridge by destroying, warning his nemesis that removing the artifact from Cybertron would kill the planet. Indeed, Megatron nearly seized the AllSpark, only for a shot from B127 to stun him momentarily and drop it. Optimus was able to put the artifact beyond Megatron's reach, and the subsequent arrival of Omega Supreme prevented the Decepticons from destroying the starship as it rocketed through the space bridge portal.

The Nemesis was quickly completed after the Space Bridge opened, and Megatron decided to leave Shockwave in charge of Cybertron in his absence. However, one of Shockwave's experiments destroyed the tower, which reduced the time they have to reach the end of the Space Bridge before it collapse. Sending in Soundwave to lead his forces on the Ark, Megatron confronted Optimus and the two fought. Megatron prepared a devastating blow to his enemy with a cannon, only for B127 to take the shot for Optimus. Their battle reignited, the two leaders traded blows with swords, causing heavy damage to one another. But before a final blow could be delivered by either one of them, the Ark crumbled under the Space Bridge's force, and while Megatron shouted in anger, both ships were drawn through. With the ship now plummeting through the Space Bridge vortex, a wounded Megatron still managed to thrash Optimus before he uses his energon axe to knock Megatron out and fall outside into the unknown.
