I had some free time and wanted to give coloring a scetch another go. I wanted it to keep that paper feeling. I'm not sure if I did so well on that. However this is the best try I've had so far.This is a whole new feeling and style in digital painting for me, and I'd really like to keep expanding on it.
C&C very much welcome.
On a side note, this is a small but important character from my fantasy story. She is incapable of dying, but does begin to rot once her natural life has run out.

hahha! thank you!! I basically slapped three colors down painted over it and then desaturated it again. I'm trying to stick with simple pallets as all i've worked with have been more complicated.

There's something to it I like. E.g. some white in the hair, subtle choices of colour, and the occassional impression of physical depth (which reminds me of acrylics). I think I still prefer the pure trad version, though. I would've wanted more air to this, more white areas or something like that.

I agree. I've never colored a scetch and liked the colored version more. I've been trying very hard to reproduce a good watercolor feel through digital. (i simply stink with traditional media) It's never right. One of my many modern fav artists is Rebecca Guay. She can somehow capture detail AND simplicity(clarity) through her media. I envision my colored scetched more like that, but don't want to look at her art for fear of copying her. I always fall short, but hopefully someday I can get where I can at least enjoy the colored versions.

I'm not very brilliant with digital stuff, so can't really help you with the technique. But I'm sure you will produce satisfactory results in no time. You have such ΓΌber-kickass high quality digital paintings that I would be surprised if not!

She's a necromancer. The dead are angry at her years of misuse she inflicted on them, so she is incapable of dying, although quite capable of rotting.
