My second foray into using Photoshop Elements to colour hand-drawn lineart. This was done on a whim--the original drawing was scribbled on a piece of printer paper, inked with a disposable Varsity fountain pen, and scanned; then I put in the colours, stuck her on a storm background, and put in some zappy effects on another layer. I am quite astonished at how well it came out.I don't like the character all that much, but being a floaty superheroine type, she was damn easy to draw.

Already commented back at the Cell, but I just wanted to add a thought that hit me as a result of something a shipmate said about while looking over my shoulder at the two versions of CB we've done. He commented that mine looked a bit like older comic-style work, while yours looks a lot like newer comic books. Then I spotted your age on your info page, and a little lightbulb went on over my head. Hah! What a different 4-5 years makes in the comics industry, hmm?

You know...that does make sense. Well, that, and I didn't start reading comic books until I was about sixteen or seventeen, rather than most kids who actually have some access to popular culture and get to read the comics as children.
Your CB has better sparklies than mine does. *grin* We should do more comparison pics of a given subject and see how our styles differ.

*Loon looks at the HUGE backlog of pics that she has on her USB drive... or would, if her computer were working correctly and allowing her to access her USB drive (which contains not only all her art and writings, but also her actual art programs) to begin with.* Mweh. I'll have to take a raincheck on that one.
