And here is Firefly in the new chibi pony/filly form.
Firefly is the star of "Rescue at Midnight Castle", the first movie of the original My Little Pony as well as its pilot. :3
In other words, she's part of the G1 ponies. X3
I used to watch it near constantly as a little girl (to the point that my mom actually recognized Firefly here. XDD), so Firefly has a soft spot in my heart. ;w; <3
(I actually bought the special version that came with the re-release of the movie since I'm recollecting the ponies that I had as a girl: [link] )
Anyway, she actually ended up smaller than she should have due to the thinning of the yarn, so I'm considering this "successful attempt #1".
I'm going to try making her again with the new pink yarn I just got. Hopefully it will make a difference. X3
I'll finalize the full/adult pony form once I get a bit of time and decide who to make first. XD
In the meantime, I'll be working on commissions, pokemon, and other side projects. :3

'Rescue at Midnight Castle' had been a favorite of mine, as well! (and it's good to know that I'm not alone in trying to relocate the older ponies....I just wish I could remember what I had done with my own collection.... ^ ^;;;; )

I thought so too, but it turns out the body ended up too small. XD I was just comparing it again to the original model I have on my desk (lost track of it while cleaning) and the body is around half a centimeter too small to support the head properly. >.<

Yeah, sometimes it's hard to get them to balance well. My 5 inch beanie/mini-plushies tended to tip over forward, and I solved it by adding a few beanie pellets in the back.

Definitely, so I use sneaky sewing techniques I learned from sewing cosplay outfits to make then work instead of pellets. XD

They're really not that expensive, I got the bag I'm using for about $8 and it's 2 pounds. I've started making really small sleeping beanies (4 inches.long) and it only takes about 5 scoops to stuff their little bodies. I use one of those little.metal scoops they sell.for working with seed beads, it really helps to keep them from.getting all over.

Well, I don't usually charge by size, but by time (unless it's bigger than a certain size), and if I remember correctly it took me about 2 to 3 hours to make her (minus breaks so I don't get carpul tunnel syndrome), so it would be $40-60 at my wage of $20 an hour. ^^
