These wee ones are the first place prize for my pokemon contest I've been hosting. XD The contest ends in around an hour and a half (probably less after I finish typing this), so hopefully any last entries can make it before 11:59pm Central Time. XD

These three are actually around half the size of the original ones I've made already. XD I finally have their patterns down pat and I'm very pleased with how they turned out.

Now, I bet many of my watchers and fans and entrants have been wondering why the hell did I choose the 27th of all days in February. It has nothing to do with the fact that 28 always get the limelight, until 29 steals it every four years after a narcoleptic stint, but in fact has a very special meaning.

February 27, 1996 was the day that Pokemon Red and Green were released in Japan and thus changed many of our, pokemon lovers and maybe haters 'cause they wouldn't be haters otherwise, lives. Or at least those of us who were lucky enough to get the original gameboy at that time. XD

I think most of us, I may be wrong, were introduced to Pokemon on September 8, 1998 with the anime. I don't know about you guys, but I still remember coming home from the first day of 4th grade and sitting in front of the TV in absolute awe for the whole half hour. XD

I was personally introduced to Pokemon Blue in 1999, a year later than when it was released in the US. It's still my absolute favorite.

So, my reasoning behind this pokemon themed contest is a dedication to how Pokemon has shaped us all, for the better or the worst. :3 I hope you guys have been liking the dive back to the good old days. XD

Good luck to all the awesome entrants, and I will announce the winner on Monday. Hopefully at least. You guys are so crazy good at art it's crazy hard to choose. @ w @ I might have to do a notable mention or something. ;w;
