It's been a long time since I last used my tablet; 3 years or so in fact.
But there's a good reason why I dusted off my old friend.

This morning, one of my little sister's baby turtles passed away. She never got around to giving him a name, but I call him Mr. Turtle.

We gave him a burial at noon in the garden.

This is my tribute to him and to his memory. He was my favorite of the two as well.

Rest in peace, little guy. ;o; We'll miss you all.

aww i'm sorry to hear that the picture is awfully cute, i used to draw little tributes like this with my critters living in the salt water aquarium i had as a teenager

dont worry about mixing up turtle with tortoise or vice versa, scientifically speaking, the name 'Turtle' refers to ANY reptile with a bony or cartilaginous shell developed from their ribs! be it land, or water

i had a small eco system i had a pair of clown fish, an emerald crab, an arrow crab (they look like spiders!) burgundy sea star and a fancy yellow brittle sea star,a pepper mint shrimp, few snails and about 6 electric blue hermit crabs and various soft corals and some live rock

unfortunately, i couldnt keep it it was due to any inexperience on my part that the balance of the tank was tipped (i was also distracted, this happened at the end of high school and i was scrambling to study and get everything ready for the big exams) algae took over the joint, pH balance was off, most of the fragile creatures died, corals gone... all i had left was the large female clown fish i had for 6 years, 3 hermits and a snail! by that point, it was too expensive to repair and i took what i had left back to the aquarium store - i was awfully upset about it since it was my fault, years later i still have nightmares about it because of how guilty i feel! once i have more spending money, i'm going to try again but i'll be more diligent about it!

Whoooa O.O I'm sad that you got too busy to care for them but oh my gosh that's amazing!
I would love to try keeping one but I'm busy enough as it is so it wouldn't go well.
