Description
This is a combination of vector artwork and digital photography. The original stock photo from SueAnnaSTOCK [link] was drawn over in Adobe Illustrator. I left the reflection real in order to achive an artificial vrs. real effect. The composting was is in Adobe Photoshop to achieve an added depth of field to the illustration as well as make minor adjustments to the original photograph.Related content

Thank you very much. The best program IMO to use is Illustrator. Happy pixel pushing.

woha!
brilliant work .. esp. love the choices on the blur and the reflection
on the evil crit note.. u've slightly missed on a detayl or two which encapsulates the girl's "feel"
.. really hard to explain why a drawing looks dead on to someone or you've missed by a wee
i think in this one it's a line of shade on the skin that engulfs her lips
.. talk about unclear evil crit
anyways... it does looks a lot like her and the full out work is just so don't mind the haters
cheers

wow, this is quite an amazing piece. the fact that you left the reflection alone makes it even more interesting. you've got awesome skills, the vector work is great. nothing needs improving, it's perfect!

quite impressive.
using motion blur that well takes some time.

Thanks. I actually achieved the blur fairly easily. I placed her back and distant hand, face and hand in the foreground all on different layers then I hit them with a mild guasin blur.

FRIGGIN' AWSOME VECTOR! i remember seeing that photo and wanting to tweak it but i can't do vectors at all.

Yes you can do vectors with photoshop. It has a limited vector drawing pallet similar to illustrator but harder to work with. I'm glad you loved the piece.

Whoa! Amazing. This blew me away! Great work. A definet favorite. I love the blue shine in her hair, reminds me of a dark setting reflection from a comic book, and the use of colors is spectacular. I love how you left the reflection so you can gase at 2 so seperate yet nearing worlds....the more technology we have...the less we can do w/ out it. I think you can come up w/ some great interpritations/explinations...but my eyes sting and thought is not my friend at this very moment. haha I wish I owned some company so I could hire you to make me illustrations haha. Great work man!

Thanx as always for the well thought out reply. I wish you owned some company to employ me as well LOL!. I was originally going to draw her reflection and then blur it out of focus, but after some thought I decided that keeping the original reflection would put more of the meaning I wanted into it. Thanks for the fav! I've never gotten so many so fast.

Thanks for the fav and the comment. I wanted to add that exaggerated depth of filed to the vector portion to keep it somewhat in reality.

Very cool composition. The reflection of what she really looks like on the tiles as opposed to the vectored version of her is a nice balance. Good stuff.
