Commission for ; a vision of what Wing's alt mode could look like.
Wing's alt mode has never been seen so far, be it in the series or among Alex Milne's additional sketches in Drift's Trade PaperBack. So here is my take
About the data: envisioned Wing to belong to the "Ankmorian Light Jet" class, a category of small stunt jets sharing the same baseframe (kinda like the "Tetrajet" class)

it's too bad idw never printed the picture of his alt mode in the back of the trade. i guess i should post that online at some point. i like the look of this. it's pretty cool

I think alot of people would love to see the mystery officially solved indeed (me included... better have a hint of the Knights' transform scheme before I worsen my case with Axe's alts, right ?)
I'm SO glad you like this, even if it differs from what you came up with. I just love your approach of Transformers. My copy of #23 arived today,... pure eye-candy.
Too bad we won't see anymore of Springarm, though, liked him.

Welcome - Chaos's coming now, and Livio's art is breath-taking, but I enjoyed the pre-War Cybertronian civilization being brought to life - something I missed in pretty much every TF universe. Kudos to James for bringing such a fresh new turn on Prime/Megatron's relation ^_^ and kudos to you and Joana for making me live these two eps instead of reading them
I would've loved to see more of this friendly Senator, too, but I guess he met a tragic end at Starscream's hands upon Senate's slaughtering in Megatron Origins :/

X3 I never imagined Wing as a Jet. I always thought he was something similar to Tracks' alt. mode (Y'know earthbound ship with wings designed for subsonic flight and that he shared the same basic chassis structure of Blurr and Drift). Still.. wow o.o He looks beautiful like this! You have a wonderful eye for details and an amazing creativity to design alt. modes based only in the info you can get from the android armor. >w<
I think I just love Wing even more, if that's even possible!!

Thank you !! Knights are quite a challenge for alt modes, not only do you have little to no clue of their alts in bot mode, you also have to design them retaining their mech mode's elegance. Glad you love Wing's alt even if it doesn't match what you thought it to be.
Don't know if you have the Drift Trade paperback, but if not, there's a small sketchbook by Milne at the book's end including Drift's alt mode as a Knight, and he looks ALOT like what you described (especially with swords' scabbards serving as wings
And commissionner gave an insane idea when it comes to Axe's alt mode(s) ~insert evil grin there~
Oh I so wish the Knights reappear in IDW's "Chaos" series - there's a bot referring to them in issue 22, so that's a good start...

Thank you - it was a topic of concern - how would fandom react to fans designing an existing-but-never-seen-yet alt mode for a canon char who's acquired a fair amount of popularity given his short lifespan ?

Thank you, glad you like - Wing has won a fair amount of popularity around fandom, so I was half joyful, half concerned about fan's reactions - designing an existing-but-never-seen alt mode for a canon isn't the same as fitting a canon with an invented Earth mode ^^
