I'm really happy with this. Trying to move more towards drawing atmospheric scenes and interactions, rather than just characters on their own doing nothing in particular. Recreating scenes from games the way I envision them happening is a great way to do that!And I just love these two and the interaction between them so much. Especially how quickly Flavio goes from curious fascination to mortal fear to telling Cortez to shut up and stop taking his spotlight away by the time they get back to Rogueport.

I Hope the next paper mario game we get to see old faces of bosses from the past other paper mario games and get to explore the paper mario verse in one game

i love when people redraw scenes from games that get a little confined by their game sprites like this, it's so great to see the characters more actively expressive. the way you draw cortez is fantastic, how he's got flavio absolutely surrounded by weapons, how his piercing holds his upper and lower jaw together. great job!
