Drawn to celebrate the official announcement of the rumored Superstar Saga remake! I love this game and these two so much, but I haven't drawn them in a long time!I'm a little wary of the remade graphics, since the original had such incredible sprites, but it looks good so far and I'm excited for a new generation of players to meet the characters. And to try out the new Bowser's Minions story!

I am also really excited for the remake. Great use of the background, by the way. It doesn't take away from the picture's focus, yet it isn't bland either.
As for the picture itself, the characters are drawn an colored nicely (Thumbs up for good shading). The reflection on Fawful's glasses is well done.

I was a little wary too but at least the Fawful and Cackletta sprites are still adorable and they seem to be doing the same block style with the black screens instead of just regular question marks!

You know how the blocks seem to have black screens displaying the question marks as opposed to it just being a picture on the yellow.

OH, right! I tried to catch the counterpart on the new game's trailer but couldn't find any.... but if they're keeping a little detail like that, it's a good sign!

Well I only have a little to go off from the very beginning of their gameplay segment where you see a used block that definitely looks like it probably used to have a screen on it, although it's still uncertain. On the topic of changing appearances, though, didja notice they gave Fawful a lip in his official artwork and now his canonically appearance looks closer to how you draw him than it did before?

OH BABY M&L IS BACK. Hopefully they put new contant in it that would be great and also worth buying it at the thirst day. Mabey they bring all the three original parts back. I they do that I hope they change the combat system of Partners in Crime

Yeah, looks like Bowser's Minions will have some new Fawful content and dialogue, at the very least, from the little we've seen. I don't know if I'll be able to play the remake right away, but I'm certainly going to buy it early to show my support!

I'm still almost in shock that it's real. I mean, I was pretty sure it was since the icon seemed real but... now that it's confirmed it still feels like such a surprise... such an amazing surprise and I'm glad that these guys are finally back (and the rest of the Beanbean crew too!)

Oh man, one can hope! I know the ones they showed off were a Koopa and Goomba. I'm very strongly considering getting some and making custom Kooper, Koops, Goombario and/or Goombella figures...! I don't do crafty stuff like that enough, and it should be pretty easy!

I am a bit pissed that a lot of people seem to hate it just cause of the changed sprites. And I saw one person watching complaining about Bowser's Minions and complains about it.

The original sprites for this game are probably my favorites ever, and they are doubtless going to lose a bit of character in the transition. That said, I'm still excited about the remake as the personality and humor of the characters and story will stay intact.
Did that person have any specific complaints about Bowser's Minions? It looked pretty interesting from what I saw.
