Why's Piddles with him? Well, actually, I guess he originally belonged to him before giving her to Gruntilda...
I kind of hoped Piddles and Grunty would get along better, instead of just being superficial allies for Nuts & Bolts.

Ok, so... here's the part where you think I'm crazy. Ever since the moment I beat the game, I've nurtured this pet theory that Piddles is actually the Lady of Games taking the form of a cat, watching over Grunty to make sure she doesn't try to cheat LOG. That would explain why they never became more than tense allies, and why Piddles is bossing Grunty around in the factory at the end; it answers where Piddles came from as opposed to LOG just fabricating her out of thin air. The fact that she can talk but didn't for the whole game makes me believe an even deeper trickery was at work.
I know it's just a fan's theory and probably not what Rareware intended at all; however, it makes the story far more interesting for me. 
ALSO I just like to draw Piddles and the picture looked too empty with only LOG.

Poor Piddles. All of the other characters used to laugh and call her names. They always said her role turned out to be pretty lame. But then one foggy Christmas Eve, Grunty came to say, Piddles with your eyes so bright, won't you man my gun tonight.

With Piddles being that poor dog, ahaha... Perhaps, but LOG loves Christmas- although for all the wrong reasons!
I could easily see Grunty stealing Christmas from the Jinjos, because they remind me of the Whos. I could see them all holding hands and singing Fahoo-dorey in a circle even after Grunty steals all their presents.

Yeah, LOG would never steal Christmas. Imagine people waking up in the morning and NOT being able to spend all of their magical/holy/family-oriented day in front of their TV with a controller clutched in their hands as they devour the game for which they have so long awaited. That would break LOG's virtual heart.

True... However, what would it be like if LOG would do what Jack did and made his own Christmas? I'm thinking that he would enlist the help of every video game character and create a whole bunch of video game themed presents! Plus, he can kidnap "Sandy Claws" and face off with Gruntilda, who wants to dunk the jolly, fat man into Dingpot!
