At long last! I actually finished this about a week ago, but I haven't had (and still don't, actually) internet for the past two weeks - I'm just tethering with my phone to use my phone's over-the-data-limit dial-up speeds to upload this, lol. Plus, I couldn't figure out how the fudge I'm supposed to get my scanner working with GNU/Linux Mint-Debian (I switched from Windows to Mint-Debian the day before I lost internet). I ended up just pulling the HDD out of my laptop and installing windows on that JUST to get my scanner working until I figure out this madness on Mint-Debian (Other than that I love Mint-Debian and configuring everything else wasn't so bad.....it's just the blasted scanner that's giving me problems >_<).

Aaaanyways, enough ranting about my computer misadventures - time to rant about the drawing! I wouldn't be me if I didn't hop from one rant to another, right?

Alright, so this was done as an art trade with - we basically just gave each other references for our Mabinogi characters to draw. I hadn't drawn anything for a couple of weeks before I did this and I had serious trouble really coming up with anything and sticking to it - it seemed like I just had zero inspiration and ambition to draw anymore. I tried lots of little sketches, but I just really wasn't into it. After a few days of just not having any sort of luck and getting a bit frustrated about it, I happened to see the boxart for Tales of Xillia 2 (I can't believe I STILL haven't played the first Xillia, and I love love LOVE the tales series) and started remembering why I started drawing to begin with - if I can really get the hang of drawing, then creating my own Visual Novel or JRPG with my own characters, stories and worlds would no longer be a pipe dream. Once I remembered that simple fact and realized that I hadn't played any games, drawn or done anything, err....."fun" for weeks, it was suddenly easy for me to draw, and I pretty much did this drawing without really having to stop and think hard until I got to coloring. I usually think really hard about what I want to draw and how I want it done, but this one just kinda "flowed" on to the page for me. Funny how just catching a glance of the Xillia 2 box art did all of that for me, haha.

On that note, I should really get the first Xillia already........it's really just a matter of "when" I get it, rather than "if"
