Nice drawing. I love how you drew the hair, it seems very natural, a bit in contrast to the cartoon-ish style. You did well with the background shadows, it makes the girl the center of attention in the picture.
A few things you could improve on: anatomy - the upper part of her body looks a bit big in contrast to the legs, and her hips are a bit slim; and it seems like you payed less attention when you drew the spaceship, like you lost your patience a bit.
The shadws are nice, although some of them aren't in the right places.
Anyway, great job!(: (hope I didn't sound too harsh )

I really Like the darkening in the art makes it stand out.
The art style reminds me of classic American cartoons with a nice Pixar art style.
Really like the shading in the art not to heavy but not to light that you can't see it.
Looks very well cleaned no rough marks, nice presentation.
Though I do say fix the hand positions a bit they look twisted but overall it's the art is beautiful.

Thank you very much!
ah i watch a bit too much cartoons so i guess it's pretty obvious here. yes the hand has been pointed out but i had'nt noticed it when i was inking.

Nice work!
I really like how you've drawn her hair, it looks great with all that detail.
Her expression is also very well done. All in all, good character design! (I was wondering about the helmet but I see you already answered that)
The background is alright but I think it would look better if the stars weren't all the same size/so evenly distributed, since it looks kind of like a pattern. (just my opinion)
Maybe the next step for you could be to work on anatomy or dynamic poses, this isn't bad at all but there's room for improvement (her left hand looks like it's turning the wrong way and her chest is a bit off, though I'm not very good with anatomy myself so I'll just shut up )
Keep up the good work! You have a lot of potential

thank you!
and yeah your right about the background! i have a tendency to try and make everything evenly space (probably from my pointilism days). i was struggling with a pose a bit and yup the hand is twisted the wrong way.
thank you!

You're welcome ^^ Here's a tutorial that helped me a lot with poses, maybe it'll help you too: design.tutsplus.com/tutorials/…
Ooh you used to do pointillism? That is so cool I bet it takes a lot of patience

nice work with the character design, im supposed she is ur CO?
i agree with the deviant below me that mentioned she should wear the helmet if shes space mechanic ( but in drawing sometimes we can bend things, no? )
i see that ur character is having anatomy issue n a bit out of proportion also her pose is kinda stiff, using reference is a good way to fix these problems
n im not quite sure wat her xpression is
but dont worry with lots lots of practice u will get better,  u have cute style, keep up the good work

hello and thank you very much for the feedback!
(im gonna assume you meant oc and no shes not shes just a random girl i drew up)
uh right ill edit the description so there will be no confusion.
where exactly will i find the anatomy and proportion issues. i imagined her holding on to the side of the ship and using her legs to support her. i think it would be pretty hard to find a reference for that .
as for the expression she is nuetral leaning on negative i think. the styles kinda cartoony so i exagerated the expression with the mouth.
(to be honest i thought you would mention on how the hair looks like its bending at an angle which i am now noticing. or maybe how the bg looks.)
thank you very much for the input! ill try to improve the parts that i can and reupload it.

okay, ill try to xplain about anatomy, proportion n reference..just bear with it

i start from her left hand which is holding the spaceship
- i only see 3 fingers n a thumb
- the way she holds to spaceship isnt right, we can see all her fingers, that means the palm is facing at us so her thumb is supposed to be on top, while in the drawing her thumb is facing down ( in this position her back side of the hand should be facing at us) so her fingers position is twisted
heres the xample of fingers position fav.me/da6m96
- her neck
this tutorial xplains everything about neck fav.me/d4ua17h
- the body
whether u wanna make her in cute style or not, her legs ( lower part ) r too short for her upper body or her upper body is a bit too long for her legs
-the hair
it would be floating coz in space everything will float, her braid wont go down

then here comes the spaceship
- the spaceship from how u draw it seems far away from the girl n also far from the viewer, while the girl is near to viewer, the perspective is messed up
here the xample how the perspective works sta.sh/01b0jpx15fs0

the reference
- actually its not hard at all, u can find it on movie like Gravity, its a good reference for ur drawing, u will notice how the body moves in space, the comparison between the spaceship n astronauts n many things

well, i hope it helps   dont let what ive said make u down, more practice more better we get n keep creating art

oh wow thank you very much!!

your absolutely right! i guess ive never really paid attention to these things before, ill try to remind myself to practice these and apply these to my future art! about the proportion, do you know of the ratio thats supposed be used for upper and lower body? in my drawing its not 1:1 but is it 1:1.5? oh yes the hair should be floating and be more flowy since it is in space and i completely passed up the oppurtunity to draw wonderfully flowing hair .

wait im sorry i dont understand so well. you linked me to a different perspective form the one im doing? like i wasnt trying to do the thing in the link but yes my perspective looks flat and i couldve done a lot with it.

oh yes right ill try that next time!

thank you so much! this will help a lot

it looks great but she shouldn't go out if she's not wearing one of these helmets O.o xD

oh haha yes actually but by the time i thought of that i had drawn the hair and i didnt want to restrain the hair so i drew the little x on her face and basically that thing gives her oxygen?? The great thing about art is thatt you can literally control everything )

oh and thank you for the compliment very much appreciated!!
