I used super sculpey for the original and then made silicon molds for casting them in resin. The one in the picture is a resin cast

Added! Β I'll contact you when the time comes (in mid/late January, most probably) and tell you conditions and so
However, I will list in my Etsy shop the tarasques that remain unsold after the event I'm taking part in next saturday, so maybe you are able to get a pre-made one ^^

I admit I first heard of it from D&D, but I'm also well aware a lot of their monsters are derived from monsters spoken of in earths past.
In this instance the Tarasque is a creature that terrorised southern France until it was tamed by a woman and then killed by the townsfolk.
Wonderful thing wikipedia
D&D for your reference made the Tarasque some 100ft tall and so fearsome that you would be paralysed with fear if you ever saw one; no idea how big their offspring would be though

I absolutely love the design of this one. The paint job is beautifully done and the detailing in the sculpting as well. Great work!

You know, I bet people could selectively breed tortoises or gene splice with lizards or something to make these real....

AlvaroFuegoFatuo In reply to LordSoulSicarious [2013-09-29 15:38:08 +0000 UTC]
Even selecting them it would be difficult to get 6 legged tortoises, but that would be very cool indeed! Lol

This sounds like a great idea! Oh wait, no, it doesn't- bigcatrescue.org/liger-facts/ , www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZMegQβ¦
I wish people would quit breeding creatures to get a specific "look", a fantasy animal. It leads to very horrific problems for the animals involved.
