the episode begins with Marinette, a mess, not even wanting to go to school. Tikki tries to cheer her up but Marinette is too much of a mess to get help. She convinced herself she's nothing but a pathetic failure. she couldn't love Adrien, she tried dating Luka but it didn't work out, she even tried accepting Cat Noir's love but he changed. and worst of all... She blames love for messing up her superhero life. importantly trusting Felix cause of her love for Adrien which lead to his betrayal and lost all the miraculouses to Monarch.

So she swore off love, and worst of all, she can't be sad about it either... otherwise Monarch will akumatize her. she can't be... anything.
