Here's a piece I did late summer/fall for the release of BLAZBLUE Continuum Shift, my apologies as I finally got around to posting this now! This was used as the box-art of the game for European release, including all of the bleed and trim. The final box-art was severely cropped from this version you see here depending on the platform, so much of the bleed areas had to be painted in as more of an afterthought thanks to DOE!The concept was pretty simple, I wanted a vortex/swirl originating from the center point and have all the characters or directional lines to osculate outwards from there. Clockwise from the top is Ragna, Taokaka, Iron Tagar and Tsubaki.
The center point and characters eventually had to be painstakingly shifted from the original pencils by DOE to accommodate for the logotype, which was really really BIG. So if you'll excuse us, that explains the vast negative space in the middle!

I have the Australian version of Continuum Shift and it came with this cover. Soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. The artwork is beautifully colorful and captivating. Terrific stuff!

Actually, his Azure Grimoir is his right hand (the one with the little half dome thingy on top), and the sword is just a massive sword.

Later on i found it here in your gallery and since that exact day iยดve been a fan of yours

hahaha,really liked the interview with Bobby Chiu,gave me some really important advices about school/collage/the ilustration industry/etc.
I just wish i could afford Schoolism,but Im from Portugal and if you whatched the news you should know how things are here...
if I many,I wanted to ask 2 questions.
1-im confortable with drawing from life(referces, etc.) but im terrible when I draw without references,If I draw alot from references will I be able to draw using no references in the future?
How can I send my portfolio to an editor,if im not from the U.S,do I really need to go to a convention?
