Daaaang it, now you're making me all nostalgic for SGU, which inevitably is going to make me grumpy over it's cancellation
Seriously, I swear to this day that SGU was on the verge of something great. It frustrates me so that so few seem to see it.

Sgu was and still is shit it focused more on pointless drama and who seems to be fucking who ie teen/highschool drama bullshit not the wonderfull campy sci fi that it started as, and as you say so far seem to see what you see in it might be a clue to how shitty it really was.

I think SGU focused on more adult themes, since sg-1 and Atlantis wasn't that mature

And see, that's what the problem was. People want the lighter, campier, sort-of sci-fi over the very hardcore and more serious sci-fi that was SGU, which leaves me worried for for sci-fi in general, but that's another story.
I stand by what I said, though. SGU was onto something.
Lucky for you, though, the rest of the world would join you in disagreeing with me.
